Weekend Round Up 18/10/26
20 October 2026
Derwentside Hellhole Trail Race
A successful Morning over in Stanley which doubled as a club GP race. bolstering around 15 entries into the race. The five mile route can be broken down into one mile of tarmac, three mile of winding woods and fields, one mile of tarmac. The true challenge could have been trying to retrace the route on a non race day given the constant raises, falls, and seemingly endless double backs. however despite the challenging course we were richly rewarded with Jordan and Gary finishing 1st and 2nd with Monika finishing 1st women. A great achievement for anyone competing as it is one of the tougher races you can find and encouraging that so many of the club turned out to enhance the atmosphere on the day
Also some photographs from the race are available at Hippie Nixon Photography. | Facebook
